My name is Travis Joseph Liles; I was born on August 12, 1977 at St. Josephs Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire. I was the 5th and final child of Andrew and Ruthann (Sage) Liles.
I graduated from Manchester Memorial High School in New Hampshire in June, 1996.
In the fall of 1996 I served as Staff Assistant to the New Hampshire Clinton/Gore ’96 team through the November election. During this time I had the honor of meeting President William Jefferson Clinton while he was in town for a rally at Manchester’s historic Gill Stadium.
Following my work on that campaign, I began working in the retail industry and spent a number of years working at the now defunct Ames Department Stores. I later served as an Assistant Manager for both Sunoco A-Plus and Cumberland Farms Convenience stores.
While working for Sunoco in 2004 I was a candidate for New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District seat. In the Democratic primary in September I finished fourth to nominee Justin Nadeau, runner-up Peter Duffy and Bob Bruce. Each of those candidates had the free time and financial resources to mount a formidable campaign. I spent a total of just under $150 during the campaign and had a respectable showing.
I currently reside in Brooklyn, New York with my boyfriend Yi Sun.
