To claim a player he must meet these requirements:

 

(a) Be a member of the franchise you have

(b) You must release a player to clear a roster spot

or

 

(a) Be a free agent player whos not affiliated with a active ranchise whos ranking is within 20 of the player he replaces

(b) You must release a player who is actively on the DL to clear a roster spot

or

 

(a) Be a player who has been released by another franchise whos ranking is within 20 of the player he replaces

(b) You must release a player who is actively on the DL to clear a roster spot

 

If a player receives multiple claims the same day, the team with the lower record receives priority.  If a team claims more then one player who is claimed by more then one team he recieves the earliest player first and the second team recieves priority for the second player. for example:

 

Team A claims Player A and Player B and the team has the worst record.

Team B claims Player A and Player B and Player C and has the second worst record.

No other teams file claims that day

 

Team A having the worst record will recieve either Player A or Player B depending on which claim was recieved first.  Team B then recieves the other player either A or  B and also recieves Player C since no other team filed a claim that day.

 

If a claim is denied based on player rankings the team will be notified, he can attempt another waiver claim or appeal the decision, the Team will submit a brief argument which will be distributed to the other teams who will vote on the appeal.  A simple majority of teams responding to the appeal will determine the outcome.  For this reason all waiver claims may not be processed within 1 day.  If a team has to appeal and another team had claimed the same player that day the second team must wait until the appeal is decided before possibly recieving the player involved.
